Toyota motors on Wednesday have announced that they will postpone the launch of their Toyota Prius V wagon in Japanese market following the natural disaster in the form of tsunami and earthquake. But they haven’t given any word on what affect will it be having on the North American Launch of the Hybrid.
In reply to an e-mail query regarding the launch of Toyota Prius V, the company has said that currently the company has decided to postpone the launch of 2012 Toyota Prius V in Japan market. The car initially was scheduled to be launched in late April. But they haven’t commented on anything related to this having an impact on the launch of the car in US market.

The Wiesmann brothers continued to impress us with their iconoclasm, and this time it’s with their ultralight two-seater concept that they kept at display at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show. The interesting thing here is that despite having such a unique design and built, the car has a pretty simple name, and the Wiesmann Spyder Concept that was kept at display was simply called as Spyder.
The Wiesmann Spyder Concept had a curb weight of less than 2,200 lbs, and is powered by a BMW-sourced 4.0 ltr V8 engine generating maximum power of 420 horses, and is expected to sprint from 0 to 60 in under 4.0 seconds. The Spyder will be having a heart pounding top speed of 180 mph.

Bugatti Veyron has carved a different niche for itself in automotive world, and not many of the auto makers are there to challenge that Supercar. But the scene seems to change now, and the Swedish “hypercar” maker, Koenigsegg is attempting to foray into Bugatti Veyron territory with their all new Koenigsegg Agera R. For those who doesn’t know about the Agera R, lets us tell you that it is an even more powerful and potent version of Koenigsegg’s pre-production Agera prototype, which was first displayed at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show.

Lamborghini Singapore revealed the Limited Edition Singapore Lamborghini 5.2 on its 10th anniversary at Mandarin Oriental Singapore. Lamborghini said that limited edition models are specially commissioned only for the market of Singapore. The Limited Edition Supercar will be available in two different color choices such as white and black and will only be recognized with Merlion logo on the exterior with red stripes. The company has manufactured Gallardo Singapore themed in partnership between Singapore importer and factory. The vehicle will be motivated by DOHC V90 10-cylinder four-valve 5.2 liter engine which will be good for churning out 540 pound feet of torque at 6500 rpm and 550 horsepower at 8000 rpm.

Porsche unveiled 767 horsepower version of the hybrid supercar at the Detroit motor show.
Porsche was the talk all around the Detroit auto show where it showcased its astounding 918 RSR.
RSR is a point where two cars come together, the 918 Spyder and the high tech 911 GT3 R hybrid.
Looking at it gave a brilliant picture, its closed cabin made the car look shorter and more meaningful than the earlier 918 Spyder. The Porsche cars were with something that came from the past. 2010 was the year where carmakers marked a high sale for fast and luxury cars.
Fast and luxury car manufacturers were successful enough to draw attention from enthusiasts which resulted in increase in sales.
Let’s began with muscle cars. With December 2010 figures the Chevy Camaro was on the top of the sales chart among other muscle cars followed by Ford Mustang. Chevrolet Camaro beats the sales figure of the Ford Mustang after 25 years. Chevy Camaro marked sales of 81,299 vehicles taking over the Mustang by 7,583 cars.
The third in the sales list is the Dodge Challenger that has marked sales of 36,791. Sales for Dodge Challenger have increased by 42 percent when compared to 2009 figures.

The Ford Focus Coupe will soon be unveiled at Detroit Motor Show, January 2011.
According to Martin Smith it’s the right time for the company to introduce a coupe after it has nicely established the base model. “It’s the time for the company to built exciting products” says Smith in an interview with Auto Express.
The Focus Coupe is highly inspired by Capris. The car resembles also to Ford ST the coupe is shaped wider making it look larger. The new Ford Coupe is no retro design its wider, low and very dramatic.
For the front the coupe has a gaping grille and a steep sloping screen at the rear. The only taking from the old Ford Capri is the C-pillars that resembles to Capri styling. It details LED lights, 20 in large alloys and exhausts exit in the center.

Ford is looking forward to get 40mpg figure form their Focus, lined up for 2012.
Currently Ford Motor CO. has three vehicles that give 40mpg and more which includes the Fiesta (subcompact SE), Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ Hybrid, they all have certified 40 mpg figure for the city and 41 mpg on highway.
To add the fourth vehicle, Focus, Ford for the next year 2012 will re design its Focus compact car which is equipped with a 2.0 liter gasoline engine and 6 speed automatic transmission with dual clutch.
If Ford Fusion proves true then Ford Motor Company will be the first automaker to offer four vehicles with 40mpg rating.
